About Me

(Cirsa March 2009)

Hi Friends,

Thanks for taking time and interest to read about me.

I am a Technoprenuer, Geek, Internet Marketer, Affiliate Business Owner or whatever you want you can call me. I run my small 40 people company from Bhilai, the city famous for its Steel Plant. Iam the CEO and Chief Software Architect of my IT company Globussoft Pvt. Ltd. which works for offshore clients based in US, Europe and Australia. Iam still 23 and still learning to todd.  I started Globussoft, when I was still in 5th semester of my college. Still taking my college education and starting a business was has hard decision but I don’t regret it anymore. We were a group of 5 people when we started Globussoft and today we are 30+ in Bhilai, 15+ in Mumbai and around 200 contract employees work for Globussoft Globally from India, China, Egypt, Russia and US.

Just to introduce myself, I completed my BE in Computer Science Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology, was selected by TATA Consultancy Services, Asia’s Largest Software Exporter in Campus and joined TCS fresh out of college. Working with TCS had been fun and a great learning experience and I got chance to work with a bunch of Fortune 100 companies like Citi Group, Ferrari, Meryll Lynch and I even spent sometime at National Stock Exchange of India as a trainee. Most of my projects were technology consulting which I provided as a part of Technology Excellence Group in TCS, Mumbai.

After about a year with TCS, I got a job offer from Microsoft IDC (India Development Center) based out at Bangalore. It was a very lucrative offer with a handsome package and greater learning opportunities.

But destiny had something else in store for me. At the peak of my career and with a dream Job in Hand, I left TCS and turned down the offer from Microsoft to return back to Globussoft, to fulfil the greatest dream I cherished from my college days.

Globussoft my dream company which I founded while I was still in my 5th semester of my college, we started as a group of 5 friends, now most of them are working for some other multinationals like TCS, CTS etc.

People asked me many questions, my colleagues felt that Iam fooling around by turning down such a good offer, no one had the courage enough to back up my decision. There were several reasons for this –

  1. The key market for IT companies – US was facing a huge recession leading to lots of job cuts and pink slips both in US and Indian IT companies serving US.
  2. People were scared to even switch jobs and they wanted to be safe and not make much noise, as an example, earlier a fresher from Chennai if got base branch as Mumbai, he would make the life of HR like hell, but now ball was on the HR’s court, no one dared to make any noise.
  3. There was no salary hikes, no promotions, gone were the old days of jumps in salaries when switching companies.
  4. Indian IT sector was massively hit by the recent Satyam Scandal and investors has no faith on BIG IT bulls, leave aside start-ups like mine.
  5. All in all, IT Market in India became a buyer market where Service Buyers were having an edge over service sellers. With a service provider perspective, like us (IT Employees), we were under the dungeons of the great downfall.

Quitting a cushy job and starting a business that too in IT was not taken as a wise decision by anyone, seeing such pervasive conditions.

Anyways everybody is free to think whatever they feel. India is democratic country and I can’t force my imagination, thinking and belief on anyone.

I knew what I was doing and I had full confidence on myself and my skills. Not everyone can take such decisions, but those who take and are able to take it right make themselves the leaders of generations to come after them.

I am truly inspired by Bill Gates and Dhiru Bhai Ambani on the way they took decisions against the world and proved that they were right.
